Comedy Festival Performance and Podcast Reflections
Speaker 6you . And so the winner is going to be opening at the comedy festival . Maybe we can pull it up . I'm looking for it . Okay , we're going to pull it up on November 25th . Before that , I'm going to be plugging . I'm going to be doing a show in the city of Pico Rivera on Sunday , and I will provide the links for everybody down in the show description .
Speaker 6This one right , yes , there we go . The soy funny comedy festival featuring who's a , from humble beginnings of his mom's backyard to traveling the country with comedy but buses and beer . So this soy funny comedy festival happening at the Central American festival in Long Beach , california , november 25th , and I'm going to be able to perform in front of 800 people and that's going to be wild .
Speaker 7Are you ready ?
Speaker 6I'm ready . I'm never ready . Jose asked me last Tuesday because I was the first one to get in and we were just sitting there . I was on my phone , I was trying to promote the podcast as much as possible and he asked me hey , are you ready ? I told him you know what , dude , I am never ready . I'm never ready for anything , because I feel like if I get too ready , I'm going to psych out , my psych myself out .
Speaker 7Yeah .
Speaker 6I could see that that's just the type of person I am . I do as much as I can to prepare , but I don't overprepare . You know what I'm saying .
Speaker 7Got it Like me when I had to take tests .
Speaker 6Sure , basically , that's what it is .
Speaker 7Got it .
Speaker 6Yeah , so that happened , and the so one of the judges , sergio , he's going to be having a show for all of , so it's all the comics that participated in the last Tuesday show on West Coast . So they're going to have a show in Pico Rivera at his secret , super secret spot . But I'll be posting it later today or tomorrow , nice , but yeah , that's going to happen . Very excited , cool things happening in the little world of a lot of things happening in the mindbuzz . You , the MBU , right , and that's what happens . I got to let you guys know that this is a call-in show . Go to the chat that we have on YouTube . You can see the number there , don't be afraid . And if you try to call sorry , my bad , because I had the do not disturb one . I don't think anybody tried anyway , so that's fine . But yeah , it's 200 episodes and there has been a lot of things that have happened in the 200 .
Speaker 7Like evolution montage .
Speaker 6That evolution montage . And well , can you go up to the ? Go to YouTube . Youtube yeah , this is crazy because one of the best , like one of the most viewed guests that I've had , and this is Flatter Dave on MB0233 . So this was my 23rd podcast yeah , that one with Flat Earth Dave , 3.7k views , and this was two years ago and it was just take a look , play the clip and you can see that .
Speaker 7What did you do ? Filming ?
Speaker 2on the 20 year old Android . Yeah , it's still up If you want to . It's good . You see that ? Yeah , so it's called deep inside the rabbit hole . It's on SoundCloud , itunes and episode one was called . 9-11 is Dave's baby and when we finished the episode one , the producers in the studio Point camera here .
Speaker 7Do it at this point .
Speaker 2They were freaking out .
Speaker 6When we were done there was like 15 people in the back of the studio and this guy was talking about Flat Earth for about an hour and a half . Pause it . No , just let it play . Just let it play , pause it .
Speaker 2One day I was talking to a fellow researcher and we were talking about some crazy shooting event which was total nonsense , and I was like there's so much deception in this world . And she goes oh David , it's worse than that . I'm like what she goes ? I think the earth might be flat and I couldn't friggin believe it .
Speaker 4I'm like , are you ?
Speaker 2freaking kidding me and she sent me and Mark Sargent's clues . Mark Sargent was another guy that discovered and he's like wait a minute , there's something wrong here . And he made a series of very short videos basically just asking questions . This is this .
Speaker 6What do you think ?
Speaker 7Is when you first , first started .
Speaker 6Yeah , that was the 20th , I think . I just started doing the video .
Speaker 7Dang Dang , your face looks really slim .
Speaker 6It looks what Slimmer .
Speaker 7Slim .
Speaker 6No , it's just the 1800 camera .
Speaker 7Dang , that's crazy . That is crazy the evolution .
Speaker 6It's the evolution , that's all the evolution that anybody needs . I am pinning the number on the show , so if you guys want to call in and talk to us , that'd be cool . Finally , we're going to have a guest for this evening and some things happen to where we're going to have to postpone it , so just keep on the lookout for that .
Speaker 7Yeah . For that one , but we decided to jump on a little bit and give some of our things that are coming up and supporting our friends .
Speaker 6What are you looking for ?
Speaker 7I'm just looking for one where you had hair .
Speaker 6There's none of them that have hair .
Speaker 7Yeah , I took them all out . Why you had to have left them there in the evolution of the Mimbas .
Speaker 6No , I took them all out .
Speaker 7Dang . So you're like those people that don't like how they come out in pictures and then they take them off when they get tagged .
Speaker 4Yeah .
Speaker 6That is exactly what I do . No , it doesn't happen that way . No , you're not going to find one .
Speaker 7No .
Speaker 6Pull it up , pull it on the screen so people can see what you're looking at . There you go . There's Adam . What's ?
Speaker 7up , adam , you had this set up with the chair .
Speaker 6That was cool .
Speaker 7That was right .
Speaker 6It's just all evolution .
Speaker 7Were you on the table here . Yeah , right .
Speaker 6No , that was on my desk .
Speaker 7On the desk . Dang , that's crazy , yeah , but Well , congratulations 200 episodes 200 . I'm going to do a whole event .
Speaker 6How does it feel Then ? I want to do a whole event for the 200 podcast episodes .
Speaker 7How does it feel that you did 200 ?
Speaker 6I don't know . It feels like just any other time . Okay , now you're getting into the nitty gritty . No , because I never took pictures of myself back then . This is what , like three years ago .
Speaker 7Oh , look at one of your first designs , huh .
Speaker 6Yeah , or play the sound to that .
Speaker 7What is it ?
Speaker 5I don't know .
Speaker 6Accepted right now , as we speak , no , yes . Maybe I don't know Where's what you're talking about , the Infer Wars . You're only accepted by on what you believe .
Speaker 7I had enough of that .
Speaker 6That was a good one .
Speaker 7Oh yeah , Then you were going to put
Blue Checkmark and Book Recommendations
Speaker 7a book .
Speaker 6Book recommendations .
Speaker 7Dang , that's great , which I did .
Speaker 6I did put that we're still talking about doing a book club , but I think that this is a very first picture .
Speaker 7I think I took this picture .
Speaker 6No , I took it yeah , this was during the pandemic . You weren't even at my house .
Speaker 7No , I have them all on my phone . I was here when you did this one Trust . It's on my phone .
Speaker 6Who's this guy ? What is it ? Hey , just passing through accounts trying to connect with folks . Check out our new podcast and let me know what you think . I wonder if they're still doing their podcast . Click on it .
Speaker 7Do you have a blue check mark ?
Speaker 6Yep , anybody with $15 and a bank account can have their blue check mark . Yeah , see , that guy has $15 . I don't have $15 for that , but I need $15 . So if you want to have our blue check mark , send me $15 and we can do that .
Speaker 7I have a lot of blue check mark .
Speaker 6Why not ?
Speaker 7I do , but now with .
Speaker 6What are the requirements for the blue check mark anyways ?
Speaker 7I think you have to have over like 10,000 followers and then you need to like send in an ID so that they really know that it's you to verify and Can you look ?
Speaker 6Can you look at it ?
Speaker 7God , that's I know I try to do it for the business and they ask you for like business license and stuff like that , but for like a person I don't know .
Speaker 6What is the requirements for a blue check mark ? We need that , and is the blue check mark only for Instagram ?
Speaker 7I think so . Oh , no , verified on Twitter and Facebook , but that's Twitter and Facebook .
Speaker 6No , you want Instagram . Instagram made . This is the storage room . In our Instagram guides , we'll look at Instagram , explain its new and old features and show you how to get the most out of the platform of your marketing strategy today . How to get verified with the Blue Checkmarks on Instagram . Okay , so the requirements are done there . First of all , you need to be authentic either a real person , a registered business or a brand . You can also only get verified once . This means that a person or business can only get the Blue Verification badge for one account . Instagram makes an exception if you have accounts in different languages . Your account must be a public one because Instagram . Why would you want to get verified for a private account ? That's dumb . You should also have a profile picture , a complete bio , and should have made . This is what you're telling . This is how to do it . What are the requirements ? I think because people can just get them if they have $15 a month .
Speaker 7I think that now it's not as exclusive as it used to be Before the whole payment thing . It was like you had to like how much does it cost ? $8 a month .
Speaker 6Oh , it's cheaper than what I thought it's $8 a month . There isn't a requirement to have a certain number of followers to get a Blue Checkmark . However , you have to prove that you are notable , and part of that notability is having people interested in following you .
Speaker 7I don't agree with that .
Speaker 6Why not ?
Speaker 7Because I don't think . I mean , we've seen pages that have a thousand people and they have a Blue Checkmark .
Speaker 6Basically , the Blue Checkmark now that Instagram has is a participation trophy for the internet .
Speaker 7Because it used to have , I guess , some kind of quote value to it was that you were like because I guess the way that the checkmark started were for celebrities , because a lot of people make fake accounts , or they do fake accounts , or people that are big fans make fan pages , stuff like that Between the Blue Checkmark you knew that that was the original person or the original business or the original influencer , things like that . It wasn't a fake . So now it's like I guess , how do you differentiate from all that if you can just pay for ?
Speaker 6verification Can we make a fake page and get a Blue Checkmark , but just post outrageous things ?
Speaker 7I don't think so , because they do ask you for an ID and they need to see your face on the page or something .
Speaker 6But what if it's a brand ? What if we make ? What if we just make a fake business ? Make a totally fake business and get the Blue Checkmark and see what happens . I feel like there's some type of- .
Speaker 7You need to submit in order for a business . You need to submit your business license .
Speaker 6Oh , okay , well , maybe not . Maybe we can fake that too .
Speaker 7Oh my , God , no , you can't . For a business you have to submit a business license , your business name ID that's attached to the business , like who owns the business ? Stuff like that .
Speaker 6Amber owns the business . Owns the fake business .
Speaker 7No , I don't , Don't bring me as a fraud .
Speaker 6Product .
Speaker 7Why do you want one ?
Speaker 6Okay , this I think- .
Speaker 7What's your philosophy ?
Speaker 6This is a philosophy . I want to see if there is a . I want to see if there is a difference , If having a Blue Checkmark right out of the gate , right when you get a , when you make a page , you can have a Blue Checkmark and see if that will entice more people to follow you because you have a Blue Checkmark , or is it because we're ? It would be late , late to the game . Now everybody's knowledgeable of the Blue Checkmark because it's not that exclusive anymore . Got it you know what I'm saying .
Speaker 7Yeah , yeah , yeah , yeah , I get what you're saying . I don't know . Try it .
Speaker 6See , that's what I'm saying .
Speaker 7I mean I , I guess like for me personally , like the Blue Checkmark doesn't mean anything anymore .
Speaker 6No .
Speaker 7I see it and I'm just saying okay .
Speaker 6Yeah , I used to mean something . What is this country coming to ? Blue Checkmark used to mean something .
Speaker 7But it's because now you can pay for anything .
Speaker 6What do you mean ?
Speaker 7Like Instagram . I wasn't saying Bluetooth . They all have made it . They see where they can capitalize more on the platform .
Speaker 6Yeah Well , I mean with yeah , with ad space . They did that too . Uh , this I wonder how much Instagram is making on the Blue Checkmark . That information is out there because I've seen this like six , maybe like six months ago , maybe even less , on how much Instagram and Facebook are making from the Blue Checkmark . It has to be like millions of dollars on this , I'm sure .
Speaker 6I mean , it's good for them , it's a good business . Uh , it makes sense in in a business sense , right ? Um , for your personal account , you can now pay either 11 , so $12 a month for the web and $15 per month on an Android . Wait , hold on what ? Uh , oh , it's different . It's a different price if you pay on the web . Oh , it's what ? Why ? That's weird Over here , look , Whoa Is that on the ? Is that ?
Speaker 7on the screen .
Speaker 6The profitable power of verification Instagram's $660 million gained through Blue Checkmarks . They somebody up there , wherever uh Instagram and Facebook's uh building is , was you know what ? We're throwing a lot of money on the table with this blue like who . Who thought of that ? Who would have thought ?
Speaker 7Hmm , somebody is smart .
Speaker 6I bet you that they were doing all these different uh , r&d surveys about , um , you know what R&D is no Research and development Got it . So we're doing all these research and development surveys and I I bet you one of them had to do with the Blue Checkmark . One of them was like uh , how do you feel about the Blue Checkmark ?
Speaker 7and- yeah , like what does it make you feel ?
Speaker 6Yeah , how does it make right ?
Speaker 7Oh well , when I see the Blue Checkmark , I think it's an important page .
Speaker 6Yes .
Speaker 7I think it's uh this , it's that , yeah , absolutely 100% .
Speaker 6Yeah , and somebody , some analysis , got that information and they're like you know what .
Speaker 7But it ruins it , for there's no more , or well , I mean , I guess I'm all about inclusion .
Speaker 6But it doesn't kid who cares ? Look at it , they're making $660 million .
Speaker 7I'll just put in like a little freaking image on your thing .
Speaker 5That's crazy .
Speaker 7It takes them nothing .
Speaker 4Mm-hmm .
Speaker 7That's nuts .
Speaker 6And and what ? What does it matter ? What does it matter ? That we think it's not right . Who cares ? And it's also like $660 million .
Speaker 7I bet you it's also like psychological for the person that like has it and that maybe doesn't have such a big following because you don't want to go back either and look like , oh , they took off their Blue Checkmark . They're not verifying it .
Speaker 6Can we do a skit where the Gilbilly-Delic Instagram account has a Blue Checkmark and I just do something that's really dumb , or to say something off-putting on the podcast and make an announcement that I'm sorry to inform you guys , but Instagram has removed your Blue Checkmark and we will no longer support your work anymore , gil . That would be such a good skit .
Speaker 7That'd be funny .
Speaker 6If I would do it , see if I would start doing skits . I think that'd be like along the lines of reality and like meshing reality with social media into the real world . You know what I mean .
Speaker 7I barely markets now .
Speaker 6But that would take a lot of time . Well , at least for me , because I like to get . I like to have things detailed with their own different logos . That's why I was excited to create this fake business . I guess I'll just put that in skits or something .
Speaker 7Why'd you wink ?
Speaker 6I don't know , Because I'm a manioso . What is it a manioso ?
Speaker 7Yeah .
Speaker 6Because I'm a manioso .
Controversy Over the Spanish Word 'Eruptar
Speaker 7You can't remember other words , but you remember that word .
Speaker 6Word of the day . No , we already went through that word . What's the Mexican word of the day on this ? Gilen Amber , episode number six .
Speaker 7Jesus Eruptir .
Speaker 6Eruptir what does that mean . It's a bird Eruptir .
Speaker 7Yeah .
Speaker 6So it has two rolling Rs in the word . Can you write it down on the ?
Speaker 7Sure , I'll put it up .
Speaker 6Pull it up and then so we can hear actually somebody saying it right . I mean , you probably said it right , but I want Google to say it Eruptar Eik . See , you didn't even say it right .
Speaker 7No , I've never heard that .
Speaker 6Eruptar , Eruptar . Let's get your dad on the phone . Let's ask him .
Speaker 7My dad probably , I don't know . I probably know more Spanish than my dad , you think so ? No , I know more proper Spanish than my dad .
Speaker 6No , okay , that makes sense .
Speaker 7Sorry dad .
Speaker 6Burp Eruptar .
Speaker 7Eruptar Eruptar .
Speaker 6Put the volume up on that girl . What is she ? How did she say ?
Speaker 7Eruptar Eruptar .
Speaker 6Eruptar .
Speaker 7Unless I've been saying it wrong and I thought it was Eruptar , Eruptar .
Speaker 6What the heck . So you thought ?
Speaker 7my whole life was a trap .
Speaker 6You've been saying it wrong . What other words have you been telling me that are wrong ? Eruptar , Can you speak into the mics ? We can hear what you're talking about .
Speaker 7Oh , I've been saying it Eruptar like a P , but it's Eruptar . Oh , I mean , I wasn't too farfetched . That was one letter wrong Eruptar , eruptar . That's why I said Eruptar , like you burped , but I guess it's Eruptar . I don't know . I feel like this is like a mandala effect .
Speaker 6You think so ? Yeah , I gotta call my aunt .
Speaker 7You heard it live . I wanna tell my aunt to call from Mexico .
Speaker 6Tell her to call in .
Speaker 7Tell her to call in . No , she's probably asleep .
Speaker 6Tell her to call in , so we can sort this whole thing out .
Speaker 7You want me to call her ?
Speaker 6But you can't tell her that she's on the thing .
Speaker 7I'm not gonna tell her , I'm gonna be like hey , tia , how do you say burp in Spanish ? Because now I'm like am I on the phone ?
Speaker 6Okay , we'll call her , but put her on the , put her on speaker and put your speaker next to your microphone .
Speaker 7I'll see if she'll answer .
Speaker 6Let's see if she answers .
Speaker 7I gotta cut her in WhatsApp .
Speaker 6WhatsApp . What's happening ?
Speaker 7WhatsApp . You know , I thought it was WhatsApp . No WhatsApp , but it's WhatsApp .
Speaker 6Can we talk about the Beirut de Situation going on ? Oh my God , oh my God , oh my God , I can hear you .
Speaker 7I can hear you Hi Tia hey what are you doing ? Are you asleep ? No , I'm eating , I'm eating . Oh , hey , tia , a quick question . How do you say when you burp no ? How do you say how ? When you have gas that comes out of your mouth , how do you say ? How do you say E-R-U-P-O ?
Speaker 2What's the P ?
Speaker 7But no with a P like E-R-U-P . Before the T E-R-U-P-O , e-r-u-p-o , but the word is E-R-U-P-O . But if there's a word that's E-R-U-P-O , e-r-u-p-t-r , e-r-u-p-t-r , like that E-R-U-P-O , e-r-u-p-o , e-r-u-p-t-r , I said E-R-U-P-T-R like E-R-U-P , like you said in the Cuber , but with a P , like P-P-P-O .
Speaker 2Am I right or am I ?
Speaker 7wrong . E-r-u-p-o yes , right . And then I got into Google and Google says it's E-R-U-P-T-R Right . E-r-u-p-t-r . Maybe it's Spanish , spanish E-R-U-P-T-R , e-r-u-p-t-r , e-r-u-p-t-r right , with a P , with an R R and nothing else . E-r-u-p-t-r , e-r-u-p-t-r , e-r-u-p-p . Okay . E-r-u-p-t-r . E-r-u-p-p-o Okay , okay , I got confused , but I said I'll speak to you to ask Okay , girl thank you . Hey , the other time you spoke to me .
Speaker 5I don't know what do you mean . What's the name of the furniture we have next to the bed ?
Speaker 7What do you keep ? What clothes ? What's the name of this ? I don't know . The furniture of clothes ? I don't know what to say I already know this one . What's Chiffon A ? Chiffon A . I didn't think it was Chiffon A , oh no , okay , no , I was talking to Kyo Birdie , okay . Ah well , you're a Spanish Google . Okay , bye . Thank you , little high . Okay , okay , say hi , girl . Okay .
Speaker 5Bye .
Speaker 7Good night .
Speaker 4Okay so what's the deal here ?
Speaker 7She said eruptar , she said it like I did . And then I said P like Peter , like P as in Peter . And she's like yeah , p as in Peter .
Speaker 6Okay , so she said that .
Speaker 4Eruptar .
Speaker 7Yeah , unless we're both wrong . Okay , this thing says eruptar or eruptar . ¿qué es eruptar y qué es eruptar ? It's looking like they're both the same word .
Speaker 6Simple dude from IG says same word you use as volcano A volcano .
Speaker 7Like erupt right .
Speaker 6Yeah , eruptar .
Speaker 7But how does he spell it ? Spell it for us .
Speaker 6He said I don't know , he didn't spell it . How do you spell it ? Let me ask him .
Speaker 7It's because he wrote me on IG .
Speaker 6Oh , he's not writing into the chat .
Speaker 7I was like where is it ? I didn't see it .
Speaker 6I'm going to add this guy on See if , if , if I'm I'm the cool host where you can , we can message , we can become friends on Instagram . What is this ?
Speaker 7See there's a debate Eruptar or eruptar .
Speaker 6Dang . We just stumbled into something that has been going on for generations now .
Speaker 7Eruptar or eruptar .
Speaker 2The battle of eruptar or eruptar , eruptar .
Speaker 6Whatever ?
Speaker 7That's exactly the same word , with this letter changed . You see it ? Yeah , that's ridiculous .
Speaker 6But they mean the same thing .
Speaker 7Yeah , so the other day I was seeing , I don't know , maybe it's like the Spanish Spain word and the other ones , I don't know . Oh , look , segurno se dice eruptar .
Speaker 5So it's not eruptar .
Speaker 6Cause we're gonna listen to that .
Speaker 7But it's eruptar . Dang is just my whole family wrong .
Speaker 6Yeah , or is it different regions or saying it differently ?
Speaker 7Maybe , maybe I don't know .
Speaker 6Okay , so explain to me the conversation that you had with her , because I heard you ask her if it's Castellano , spanish or what .
Speaker 7Yeah , and she says she's like I don't know , she's like I've always said eruptar Like to erupt .
Speaker 6And you told her that we looked it up on Google . Yeah , I looked it up on Google . What did she say ?
Speaker 7And it says eruptar , and she's like no , it's with a P . And I was like oh , p , like Pede , pedro , like P , you know , like Pedro . And she's like yeah . And I was like oh well , google's telling me with a C . And she's like no , it's with a P . I'm like okay , that was my conversation . And then she threw in something about my mom . That was like I don't think I know .
Speaker 7Yeah , she was just saying
Language Confusion and Mispronunciations
Speaker 7that . I guess my mom too , a couple of years ago , was at a get together and people were asking how do you say , how do you say like the dresser drawer , you know , like where you put like your clothes , like a dresser drawer ? How do you say it in Spanish ? And then everyone's like I don't know , I don't know , I don't know , and my mom's like let me call my sister from Mexico .
Speaker 6Oh , so your mom did the same thing .
Speaker 7Yeah . And then my aunt told her and then no , I'm like so my mom knew . My mom says that she knew that word and she told people what it was and they didn't believe her that . They were like no way , that's not what it is . And then she called her sister from Mexico and then she's like sister , how do you say dresser , drawer ? And then my aunt said it and everyone was like , no , you guys made it up .
Speaker 6Dresser . Why do we call them dressers ? That's another dumb one .
Speaker 7Because it's where you put your clothes .
Speaker 6Dresser , but they don't dress you .
Speaker 7The one on Beauty and the Beast is oh , I was going to say the other day , so I watched this TikTok girl TikToker , and she was in Japan . Yeah , she was in Japan . And then she was like on a tour and then she was talking to her daughter and she was talking to her in Spanish . And then this other guy that was from Mexico was like oh my God , you speak Spanish . And she's like , yeah , and then they started speaking Spanish and she says they were having a conversation between them too . And then this man approaches them and he's like no , you guys don't speak Spanish . And she's like what ? And he's like no , you guys don't speak Spanish , you guys speak Mexican Bang .
Speaker 7And he said , and he told her I speak Spanish because I'm from Spain .
Speaker 6Sick ass fools .
Speaker 7So he was from Spain and he said no , you guys don't speak Spanish , you guys speak Mexican . So to them , our Spanish is not Spanish , that's not right .
Speaker 6No , cracking open one for the boys .
Speaker 7What boys .
Speaker 6For the homies just kidding , oh my God .
Speaker 7So I don't know , I don't know , am I right , google right , but what is it saying in the article ?
Speaker 6Like what's the ? Is there .
Speaker 7The article saying that eruptar is not a word .
Speaker 6But where did it come from ?
Speaker 7I don't know where it came from .
Speaker 6We don't know .
Speaker 7We don't know .
Speaker 4What the hell .
Speaker 7Si buscamos la palabra eruptar en el diccionario del Real Academia Español , no encontramos ningún término que conocida . So it's saying that if you look in the see , it's a Española . So , like in the Spanish dictionary , so the one from Spain , that there isn't a word that's spelled with a P , it's spelled with a C Erructar . So either Mexicans were saying it wrong this is the entire time but see , even the person on Instagram told you it's the same as like erupt .
Speaker 6Yeah , but maybe he's wrong too . What's from saying ?
Speaker 7that maybe as a country we're wrong .
Speaker 6Maybe , as Mexicans , you're wrong because you're speaking Mexican , you're not speaking Spanish .
Speaker 7Like the guy said , maybe . Maybe it's mixed with like Nahuatl or something , I don't know .
Speaker 6Maybe it's a .
Speaker 7Now I gotta do like a deep dive into this word .
Speaker 6Okay , let's do it .
Speaker 7No , just tonight , and then we'll come back to it .
Speaker 6This is why we're here . This is why we do stuff to figure out wrong words and right words . We should just have a spelling bee podcast .
Speaker 7I gotta tell my aunt that I'm recording her voice .
Speaker 6I know .
Speaker 7This is a recording . What did they tell you when you call , like anyplace .
Speaker 6That .
Speaker 7This one call will be recorded and monitored .
Speaker 6Yeah , for quality and training purposes .
Speaker 1Ha , ha , ha , ha ha .
Speaker 6Esta llamada será yeah , we should tell her that . Are you gonna tell her ?
Speaker 7Yeah , I'll tell her mom .
Speaker 6If not , your dad's gonna tell her Ha ha , ha , ha ha ha .
Speaker 7Probably Well , that's a chismoso .
Speaker 6Yeah , yeah , that's funny .
Speaker 7That's where I get it from Now . My mom . I remember my dad .
Speaker 6So this whole erratar or erratar is wrong . You've been saying it wrong your whole life .
Speaker 7I've been saying it wrong my whole life .
Speaker 6How does it feel ?
Speaker 7It doesn't feel very good .
Speaker 6I feel like we talked about the Mandela effect a few weeks ago .
Speaker 7Yeah .
Speaker 6Was it .
Speaker 7Yeah .
Speaker 6About the burn . I really felt so scared after the Bernstein bears thing .
Speaker 7Well , why scared ? I don't know Like , why are you scared ?
Speaker 6That's just my common . That's just my common . That's like your instinct , my instinct feeling for everything is just like fear . That's not good .
Speaker 7No , it's not .
Speaker 6No , it was creepy , it was . It's creepy to hear things on the internet that are totally wrong and you've built your whole reality around and to tell you that your whole life is a lie . That's why I was kind of taken back from it .
Speaker 7Yeah , I guess I kind of feel like that now , but I'm not scared .
Speaker 6No , but I'm just saying . It feels weird , right . It feels like like how , where did I go wrong ? Where did we go wrong With eruptar or eruptar , or even the Bernstein bears ?
Speaker 7So it's .
Speaker 6It's Bernstein . Bernstein bears , not Bernstein bears .
Speaker 7I think we were just pronouncing it wrong . It's like me when I realized that Chick-fil-A was Chick-fil-A .
Speaker 6Yeah , but .
Speaker 7It was written . It was written the way that it was written , but I pronounced it differently .
Speaker 6No , right , but that's pronunciation . All the words were spelled the same . My thing was , these words were totally spelled differently and I remember I remember them specifically saying Bernstein with the E-I or I-E-N .
Speaker 7Yeah , bernstein bears , and it's Bernstein .
Speaker 6Bernstein . Well , let's pull it up it's B-E-R-E-N-S-T-A-I-N . It's Bernstein bears , not Bernstein bears . I thought these were Jewish bears , but they're not . They're mocoso bears .
Speaker 7Bernstein bears .
Speaker 6Yeah , that's what it's called . It's called Bernstein , not Bernstein . I guess , Do you remember them , bernstein or Bernstein ?
Speaker 7I used to say Bernstein bears , bear , steam bears . That made more sense .
Speaker 6Bear and stain , or Bear and steam ? What the heck is that one ? What are they doing ? Oh , that one right there With the yeah , what's ? That's a word , but the position that he's in oh my God . Come on , dude .
Speaker 7Leave him alone .
Speaker 6Trying to get the bee .
Speaker 7That's a sister .
Speaker 6That's fine , they're bears .
Speaker 7I still always want to live their life in the tree . I have this weird like you had a messy room .
Speaker 6You're , you're kind of like them .
Speaker 7No , okay , god .
Speaker 6They're . They had a whole book on a messy book . They had a whole book on a messy bedroom . You can relate to that one .
Speaker 7Dang , I was gonna say something , really mean Say it .
Speaker 6No , come on , it's a 200 episode homie .
Speaker 7No , let's do it .
Speaker 6Let's have a roast battle right now .
Speaker 7I don't want to roast nada .
Speaker 6Roast battle , roast battle go .
Discussion About Upcoming Music Event
Speaker 7I was gonna say that they have one with it . No , no , I'm not gonna say it . Say it , people want you to say it , it's mean my dad's gonna tell my mom I'm being mean .
Speaker 6That's fine .
Speaker 7They have one about not having a mom .
Speaker 6That's the best he can do .
Speaker 7No , that's not . That's not the one that I was thinking about . That was just the safest option , geez .
Speaker 6If that was a safest option . I don't know where your mind went in the past one minute .
Speaker 7No , what I was gonna say is like see all this green , like like how cartoons were very one dimensional , right , like it's just like it was like a drawing . But I was like very , very much so . Like I always said man , I want to live in a place that looks like that , like just green and trees and just one dimensional like that . Like I don't know , it did something where it just like warmed me up and I was like I want to live there and I always have , even now as an adult , like I can watch something , and if it's like that , like animated and very green and like tree , like I gravitate towards it . That weird A little bit .
Speaker 6Yeah , a little bit .
Speaker 7Somebody calling .
Speaker 4Yeah .
Speaker 7What's calling ?
Speaker 4Oh .
Speaker 7Domino's Pizza .
Speaker 4Hello .
Speaker 5Hey , what's up ?
Speaker 4Who's this ?
Speaker 5Hey , alex , I'm from the paranoia .
Speaker 6Oh , what's going on , Alex ?
Speaker 5What's up , bro ? Are you still ? Are you guys still doing the live show ?
Speaker 6Yeah , we're still , we're still on .
Speaker 5Oh no , let's see .
Speaker 6Hello yeah , did you . Did you want to be on ?
Speaker 7Yeah .
Speaker 6Okay , cool .
Speaker 7Did you call to be on Hi ?
Speaker 6No , he can't hear you . Let me let me . Oh , it's fine . So , on the blue button , hold on Alex . Let me let me get my stuff . Yeah , that one , yeah , all right , hello , hello , oh , we're still Hang on , alex . Yeah , you did , come on , there we go , alex , can you hear us ?
Speaker 5Yeah , what's up ?
Speaker 6Cool , can you hear him ?
Speaker 7Yeah , I can hear him . Hi , hey , amber .
Speaker 5Hey John .
Speaker 7Good Are you ?
Speaker 5Good .
Speaker 7Thanks for calling in .
Speaker 5Yeah , of course I'm just leaving my studio right now . We just have , we have our . I don't know if you guys are aware , but we have the talk for monsters of Kasha on Saturday . We just don't want to practice right now .
Speaker 6Awesome . Oh , that's tough dude yeah .
Speaker 5Toss a little bit more . I think I counted 18 bands .
Speaker 4Whoa , that's a lot .
Speaker 5I'm pretty sure you guys have been to catch one . But yeah , there's a bunch of stages . There's like three stages . So we have a bunch of bands that they .
Speaker 7Oh , is it the one where Red Store Bums is going to be out ?
Speaker 5Yes , yes , I'm pretty sure they're headlining them , and then we'll have a presentation .
Speaker 6Is there a ?
Speaker 5flyer that we can look at . Go on their Instagram . Yeah , we have it on our Paranoia's page and we have it on the Evil Core page .
Speaker 6Okay , we're going to look up your page right now .
Speaker 5Or yeah , is it this one ? Yeah ?
Speaker 6No , it's the Paranoia .
Speaker 5It's going to be up there too Cool .
Speaker 6Oh , right here yeah .
Speaker 7Your ladies favorite .
Speaker 6Yeah , and then I have a question . Hold on , I have a question after that , yeah of course , all right , we pulled it up so that everyone can see .
Speaker 5Bro , I've been wanting to check out your guys' live show at the Orchacaria , but we've always had a show on that weekend and I've always missed out on that Thursday or Wednesday . I'm like dude , come on . I've been waiting for an open slot to go out . I like living on the beach . I'm right there , Close to you guys before .
Speaker 5Yeah , I'm like right there and I've like been to that place a bunch of times before and I've always wanted to show up but we've always had practice . So I'm always here in LA practicing with the guys , but I've always wanted to show up and I'm aware that you guys do . Also the funny competition I was at yesterday over at the West Coast Pop Block . You guys have been doing a lot .
Speaker 6Oh yeah , I was there last .
Speaker 7Well , this past Tuesday yeah this past .
Speaker 6Was it this bad thing already . Yeah , that was fun , but yeah , you have to come out . Amber , when is our next show ?
Speaker 7Next month , so we're going to do it in December .
Speaker 6We're going to do it in December .
Speaker 7We'll let you know of the dates a little before . I'm sure we're going to finalize a date soon and that way , if it fits in your schedule ahead of time , you can come out .
Speaker 6Heck yeah , but this is a .
Speaker 5Yeah , now we don't have a concert in December , so I am free to come out .
Speaker 7Awesome .
Speaker 5Yeah , anything .
Speaker 6Don't do it , but this is a stacked lineup . Dude , Monsters of Skaw .
Speaker 5Right , you guys looking at it .
Speaker 6Yeah , we're looking at it .
Speaker 5So I meant it for , like ascentia , red sore bombs . All these other people like there's so much , like , yeah , mafia rusa , matamosca , Jesus Verdez . All these people like bring in Johnny , yeah , we're going to have a good show .
Speaker 6honestly , Damn dude .
Speaker 7And then how can people get there's tickets right ? So they it's ticketed event .
Speaker 5It's evocorecom . Cool . Evocorecom , and if you hit up the evocore Instagram page you can just hit up there . Also on the paranoia page we have an active link . You just hit up the link and it should be one of the first few ones to get tickets . So there's a few mediums to get it .
Speaker 6Cool , so we'll pet that on there . And then also I have a question when did your ladies' favorite band thing come from ?
Speaker 7Because it's my favorite band .
Speaker 6I'm pretty sure there's a deeper meaning to that .
Speaker 5Yeah , I mean that's either Ralph Javi or Niko , that's one of the few . But I mean we just have a lot of like . Personally , my girlfriend like before I even joined the band , that was one of her favorite bands and it's like a lot of their stuff is super singable . So that was my girlfriend's new band and it was like , honestly , one of the like . It actually works within the tagline like that is , that is her new band .
Speaker 5So I mean , I don't know , it just works out like if it is , then it is , you know , like we have a lot of catchy stuff and you know we're like releasing new like I don't know . I know the album soon , so we're on the way for more stuff . Yeah , that's cool .
Speaker 6That's funny . So what type of saxophone do you play and how long have you been playing for ?
Speaker 5Dude , I've been playing the tenor since high school actually , but I've been playing the also sax and fourth grade . So I'm 25 myself , but I've been playing the also like the six and fourth grade and the tenor since tenth . So like jazz and all that stuff , and then concerts , like I mentioned , you know , concert , jazz and flanics , I think guitar , I think piano , and then I did yeah , I've just continued playing saxophone , I haven't stopped .
Speaker 6Is it ? Have you always played woodwind instruments or have you tried out brass ?
Speaker 5No , you know , it's actually funny like I tried to play . I first wanted to play trumpet .
Speaker 5I couldn't make a buzz in elementary . So one of my teachers he happened to be a saxophone player and he mentioned hey , like why don't you try it ? So I tried the saxophone and I was able to like make a note . I was able to like try to play all the songs that they recommended and I kept playing it and that's why I kept playing saxophone . And also , like Lisa Simpson I always joke about how that inspiration is Honestly true . Lisa Simpson , like I love the Simpson and all that , and like I don't know if you guys remember the episode with like leading comes Murphy where like she's reminiscing within the stars and she's looking at him and she like starts playing and she devotes to her passion and everything to him and stuff like that . But it was like I don't know , I just kind of inspired to try to play saxophone and I just kept with it .
Speaker 6Gotcha .
Speaker 5And I don't know if you guys know about how it actually is , but yeah , that's cool .
Speaker 7We need to do one of my podcasts .
Speaker 5Yeah these are my . Oh yeah , I'm pretty sure we've . We were going to have a date with you guys but we rescheduled . We were having like practice difficulties . But I'm pretty sure we're going to reach out to them for sure .
Speaker 6Yeah , absolutely . Oh . Yeah , dude , we got to do that . And then , like you , I did have also an inspiration from the Simpsons , but mine was more of a Barney Gumbel .
Speaker 5Yeah .
Speaker 6So I'm still working on that right now .
Speaker 5I loved your set yesterday . I like saw your eyes . I've been watching Kill Tony for like a bunch of years . I love stand up . I've watched a bunch of stand up and I've been like watching just a bunch of stuff . Like I've been seeing your stuff for a couple months . So it was really interesting and fun to see your set over how you like stretched over three minutes but , dude , that was like really good Like . Oh my God .
Speaker 6Cool man . I appreciate that .
Speaker 5It like makes me want to go up .
Speaker 6You know Do it , do it , dude , like yeah , honestly , you just you just need to just write some stuff down and just go up there and , like I explained this on the last podcast with the Octavio , you don't , you don't learn until you just actually just do it . That it's stand up is something where you just you have to learn by doing it . You know what I'm ?
Speaker 5saying Exactly .
Speaker 6Yeah .
Speaker 5But yeah , like Mike Vito label , like I mean I think it's like Oscar Rodson put up like a comedy event under Mike Vito . Wouldn't that be like we should ? Yeah , right , yeah , no Oscar Rob .
Speaker 7We were talking about doing something for charity , hopefully maybe for December . So we'll probably hit you guys up see if you know you guys want to link up with us and Mike Vito and see what we can come up with for a good cause .
Speaker 5That'd be cool . Yeah , we should try something like that .
Speaker 6Awesome bro . I appreciate the phone call . Amber , do you have any other questions ?
Speaker 7No , just we can't wait to have you at the open mic .
